Operational Assistance
In addition to equity investment, Adena Ventures provides operational assistance (OA) to its actual and potential portfolio companies at no cost. Adena's OA program is company-driven and tailored to meet the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs.
OA services can include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- writing or assisting in the preparation of a business plan
- legal assistance relating to business formation or reorganization (but not litigation)
- recruitment of executives
- creation of Internet capability
- engineering or other technical services to create or enhance production or distribution of products or services
- creation of marketing materials
- creation of customized accounting or information systems
- active participation in negotiation with financial institutions (debt)
Through Adena’s innovative OA program we have:
- Documented, tested and optimized a company's software product.
- Identified areas of inefficiency and significant cost savings in a company's inventory management system.
- Created comprehensive multi-party sales and partnership contract templates for a company.
- Identified senior sales executives, financial and accounting executives and independent board members for several companies.
- Assisted a company in securing a large commercial line of credit.
- Designed new corporate identities/logos for several companies.
- Developed public relations strategies for companies to pitch their stories to major regional and national media.
